Continuum of Care Board Nomination & Election

The Office of Care Coordination, on behalf of the Orange County Continuum of Care (CoC), is facilitating the CoC Board Nomination and Election process.

The Orange County CoC Board is charged with responsibilities and authorities on behalf of the General Members of the Orange County CoC. The Orange County CoC is comprised of a governing board that represents the stakeholder groups that align with the community’s priorities and experiences of key partners, including people with lived experience, in the community.

The Orange County CoC is committed to fostering a Board that reflects our community and broadens the CoC Board membership to be representative of the experiences more wholly within Orange County. The CoC is recruiting for five (5) to nine (9) members and is intentionally seeking people who hold the following identities and experiences, including but not limited to Black or African American, Indigenous/Native American, People of Color, 2SLGBTQQIA+ (2-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual/aromantic, +) and people with lived experience of homelessness or housing instability. Please reference the flyer for more information on the CoC Board nomination and election.

Nominations and Candidate Interest Form

The nomination period took place from October 27, 2025, to November 5, 2025, and is now closed. Candidate Interest Forms were due November 7, 2025.

CoC General Membership

The CoC Governance Charter states that a CoC Board member must be CoC General Member, either as an agency or individual.

Additionally, as voting privileges in the CoC, including the CoC Board elections, are contingent upon membership, organizations and individuals interested in having an active role in the CoC are strongly encouraged to apply for membership. There are two types of memberships: organizational and individual.

If you are unsure of your CoC General Membership status, including your agency’s authorized representatives, please reference the current CoC General Membership Roster.

New and updated CoC General Membership forms for the CoC Election were due to the Office of Care Coordination by November 7, 2025.

Vote Online

The Orange County CoC Governance Charter identifies that each CoC General Member (one representative per agency or individual) is permitted one vote for each of the CoC Board seats up for election. Be sure to review the CoC General Membership Roster to confirm the authorized representative for your agency who will cast the vote. If your designated representative is unavailable, an alternate member listed in the roster may vote on their behalf.

The CoC Board is looking to select a range of five (5) to nine (9) members for the current election process.

The voting period for the CoC Board Election will occur from Monday, November 17, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. through Wednesday, November 26, 2025, until 5:00 p.m., via an online survey. To vote, click on this survey link and submit your voting survey online. Please submit your vote as soon as possible as the last day to vote is Wednesday, November 26, 2025, until 5:00 p.m.
