The Coordinated Entry System has implemented a Shelter Bed Reservation System for individuals (adult-only households) and families (households with minor children). The Shelter Bed Reservation System for individuals is operated by the County of Orange, Office of Care Coordination. The Shelter Bed Reservation System for families is operated by the Family Solutions Collaborative. The Shelter Bed Reservation System is a centralized system where available shelter beds can be accessed by individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The Shelter Bed Reservation System will leverage vital infrastructure provided by the Orange County Coordinated Entry System.
The goal of the Shelter Bed Reservation System is to create a more streamlined and accessible process for individuals and families experiencing homelessness to obtain shelter and understand the availability of emergency shelter beds throughout the community.
Individual Bed Reservation System
The Individual Coordinated Entry System currently provides referrals to two (2) County Emergency Shelters through the Bed Reservation System. The two County shelters providing available beds are Yale Navigation Center and Bridges at Kraemer Place (Bridges); which are operated by PATH. For more information about the Emergency Shelter sites accepting referrals through the Bed Reservation System, please click the shelter flyers linked in Documents and Resources below.
Family Bed Reservation System
The Family Coordinated Entry System currently provides referrals to 65 Emergency Shelter & 13 Transitional Housing family units through the Bed Reservation System as openings become available.
