Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program NOFO

On June 10, 2026, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released the Youth Homelessness Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for FY2024 and FY2025. Approximately $144 million in funding is available for approximately 26-50 new Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP) communities. The deadline for this funding opportunity is August 10, 2026, at 9:00 p.m. PT.

Request for Proposals for YHDP Projects

ADDENDUM #1: Please note, on July 13, 2026, the Office of Care Coordination has posted an addendum to the RFP to clarify the submission deadline on page 16 of the Detailed Description. 

The Orange County CoC and the Office of Care Coordination, as the Collaborative Applicant, are seeking proposals from qualified organizations for new Transitional Housing (TH) and Supportive Services Only (SSO) projects to be funded by YHDP through the Youth Homelessness NOFO.

Proposals in response to the FY2026 Request for Proposals (RFP) for YHDP must be submitted to the Office of Care Coordination electronically via Dropbox. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, July 14, 2026, by 12:00 p.m. PT.

June 2026 - CoC Board Approval 

At the CoC Board Meeting on June 24, 2026, the CoC Board approved the Orange County CoC’s participation in the YHDP NOFO and approved the Office of Care Coordination, acting as the Collaborative Applicant for the Orange County CoC, to facilitate a local application process and prepare the Orange County CoC’s YHDP application.
